Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri, has congratulated former Delta Governor, Chief James Ibori as he clocked 68.
Uduaghan’s felicitation is contained in a statement on behalf of himself, family and the people of Abigborodo in Warri North Local Government Area of the state in Asaba on Wednesday.
He described the former governor as an enduring icon, whose leadership, philanthropy and national service continued to inspire many across Nigeria.
“We proudly celebrate the 68th birthday of Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former governor of Delta State, whose leadership, philanthropy and enduring contributions to national development continue to inspire many,” he said.
Uduaghan said Chief Ibori transformed Delta through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment and rural development.
He added that his initiatives laid a solid foundation for sustained progress in the state and commended his vision and commitment to inclusive development.
“Your commitment to good governance, industrial growth and human capital development laid a solid foundation for progress across the state,” he said,
He also lauded Ibori for championing the Niger Delta’s demand for resource control and true fiscal federalism
He further described Ibori as a respected statesman, who consistently promoted justice, equity and national unity.
“As a respected statesman and champion of resource control and true fiscal federalism, you gave strong voice to the aspirations of the Niger Delta and promoted justice, equity and national unity,” he added.
Uduaghan also expressed gratitude for Ibori’s mentorship and generosity, saying his support had positively impacted countless lives and nurtured many leaders across different parts of the country over the years.
“On this special occasion, we celebrate your remarkable legacy, unwavering patriotism and steadfast commitment to the progress of our nation,” Uduaghan said.
“On behalf of my family, we wish Ibori good health, long life and many more years of impactful service.” (NAN)
