The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has renewed its call on motorists to avoid excessive speeding following a fatal lone accident that claimed the life of a female driver at Mongoro, inward Ile-Zik, along a major highway in Lagos.
The victim, who was driving a Toyota Sienna with registration number LND 162 HB, reportedly lost control of the vehicle before it veered off the road and crashed into a building by the roadside. She died at the scene of the accident and was the only occupant of the vehicle.
LASTMA officials on patrol in the area responded promptly by securing the crash scene and managing traffic to prevent gridlock and reduce the risk of additional accidents during the evacuation process.
The agency said traffic was temporarily affected, but normal vehicular movement was restored through coordinated traffic control measures.
