Former Liverpool and Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe has been given a 12-month community order after pleading guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend in south London.
The 30-year-old former England Under-21 international attacked Amie Mayson outside her home in Lambeth in December, Croydon Magistrates’ Court heard.

Ibe pulled a braid from Mayson’s hair during an argument, leaving her with a bald patch.
He initially denied a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in March but later changed his plea to guilty.
Representing himself in court, Ibe said he had made “a serious mistake” and expressed remorse for his actions.
“I understand it is wrong. I am genuinely remorseful,” he told the court.
“I’ve had to look at myself in the mirror. I cannot change what I did but will take responsibility for what I do next.”
Magistrate Brij Kalia sentenced Ibe to a 12-month community order, which includes 80 hours of unpaid work and 27 days of rehabilitation activity.
He was also ordered to pay £764, including a £114 surcharge and £650 in court costs.
Ibe began his professional career with Wycombe Wanderers before joining Liverpool, where he made his senior debut as a teenager.
He later moved to Bournemouth and represented England at Under-21 level.
