Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has dismissed singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable’s, allegation that he bit him during their recent celebrity boxing rematch.
Okocha made the remarks during an appearance on TVC Entertainment on Tuesday, insisting the claim was false and saying he had no reason to bite the controversial singer.
The celebrity boxing rematch took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Lagos, on Friday, where Okocha was declared the winner after Portable was disqualified for allegedly violating the rules by abandoning wrestling techniques for punches before leaving the ring.
Following the bout, Portable claimed Okocha bit him on the back and locked his neck during the contest, arguing that he should never have agreed to participate in the match.
Responding to the allegation, Okocha said he wore a mouth guard throughout the fight, making it impossible for him to bite his opponent.
“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying,” Okocha said.
The actor also dismissed the accusation with a humorous remark.
“I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat,” he added.
The exchange has further fueled the rivalry between the two entertainers, with clips and reactions from the boxing event continuing to trend across social media.
