The Nigeria Police Force has arrested controversial entertainer DJ Chicken following a viral video in which he allegedly threatened the life of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
The arrest comes days after the video circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention and sparking debate online.
Alleged threat followed comments on 2027 election
In the video, DJ Chicken reportedly claimed that President Bola Tinubu would not win the 2027 presidential election.
He also allegedly made a threat against Seyi Tinubu if the President secured another term in office.
The remarks quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with many users reacting to the video’s content.
Arrest confirmed during livestream
Speculation about DJ Chicken’s arrest emerged online before content creator Tunde Perry addressed the issue during a livestream on Thursday night.
According to Perry, the entertainer was taken into custody after the video surfaced.
He also claimed that while neither President Tinubu nor Seyi Tinubu was directly responsible for the arrest, individuals close to the Presidency reportedly took action over the alleged threat.
