AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim has dismissed speculation linking Samuel Chukwueze with a summer exit, insisting the Nigerian winger remains part of his plans for the new season.
The confirmation comes after months of uncertainty surrounding Chukwueze’s future following his loan spell in the Premier League.
Fulham decline permanent transfer
Chukwueze spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Fulham, where he contributed three goals and four assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.
Although the London club considered making the move permanent, negotiations failed after AC Milan reportedly maintained their €24 million valuation for the player.
The Super Eagles winger has also been linked with clubs in Turkey during the current transfer window.
AC Milan manager praises winger’s qualities
Speaking ahead of the new season, Amorim stressed that Chukwueze will remain at the San Siro and highlighted the qualities he brings to the squad.
The Portuguese coach said the Nigerian international’s ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations makes him an important option in attack.
Amorim also noted that Chukwueze offers tactical flexibility, allowing the team to adapt to different playing systems throughout the season.
Chukwueze set for fresh opportunity
After returning from his loan spell, the 27-year-old is expected to compete for a regular place in AC Milan’s squad as preparations for the new Serie A campaign continue.
Chukwueze joined the Italian giants from Villarreal in 2023 and will now look to establish himself under Amorim’s leadership.
