The Kwara State Government has fixed Saturday, August 1, 2026, for the conduct of the Common Entrance Placement Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the area..
In a statement issued on by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Peter Amogbonjaye, the government also declared that no registered pupil would be required to pay any fee for the examination.
The Wednesday circular stated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had approved the full sponsorship as part of efforts to expand access to quality basic education.
The state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Lawal Olohungbebe, said the examination would be conducted simultaneously at accredited centres across the 16 local government areas of the state and would commence at 8am.
The commissioner explained that AbdulRazaq approved the sponsorship to remove financial barriers preventing children from accessing quality education.

Olohungbebe warned headteachers, principals and examination officials against collecting any unauthorised fees from pupils or parents, stressing that anyone found violating the directive would face disciplinary action in accordance with the law
He also cautioned candidates and school authorities against engaging in any form of examination malpractice, noting that the government was committed to ensuring a credible, transparent and merit-based placement exercise.
