The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial district, Sunday Marshall Katung, has called for a thorough, impartial and transparent investigation into the death of Miss Mary Habila, saying the circumstances surrounding her demise must be fully established in the interest of justice.
In a statement at the weekend, Katung said he received news of Habila’s death with “profound shock and deep sadness,” describing the incident as a tragedy that has left her family, friends and the entire Southern Kaduna community in mourning.
He extended condolences to the deceased’s parents, relatives and loved ones, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the loss.
“The loss of any innocent life is a tragedy that should concern us all. It is therefore my earnest expectation that the relevant authorities will, in accordance with the law, conduct a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident,” the senator said.
