Educational Chairperson of the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) Basic School, Hajiya Aisha Aruwa, weekend urged students to be responsible leaders and contributors to society while upholding Islamic values.
Hajiya Aruwa stated this during the school’s 2025/2026 speech and prize giving day in Abuja . She said the pursuit of knowledge was an obligation for every Muslim, both male and female.
She said Islam promotes learning, intellectual inquiry and research, adding that knowledge should be accompanied by good character, compassion and service to humanity.
Aruwa urged students to continue seeking beneficial knowledge throughout their lives while remaining guided by faith and moral values.
She encouraged the graduates to respect their parents and teachers, uphold honesty, remained committed to prayer and research, and strive for excellence in both religious and worldly pursuits.
Also, Ameerah FCT FOMWAN, Hajiya Fatima Isa Ndako, said the school focused not only on academic excellence but also on character, kindness, discipline, and community service.
“Our world needs young men and women who are confident in their Islamic identity and are ready to solve real-world problems. These are the values we are building here in our schools,” she said.
She urged the graduating students to carry the light of Islamic values, go forth and be worthy ambassadors of this institution wherever they go.
“Be proud of what you have achieved, but remain humble. Seek knowledge that benefits both you and others.
“Keep your intentions pure, your standards high and your hearts devoted to Allah,” he said.
Also speaking, the Acting chairman of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), Malam Muhammed Ali, said the ceremony was the celebration of excellence, hard work, discipline, and the collective commitment of parents, teachers, and students toward achieving educational success.
