The member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos, has inaugurated the distribution of 2,000 bags of assorted fertilisers to farmers, while installing 900 solar-powered lights in communities and places of worship, as well as the donation of 40 motorcycles to security agencies.
The interventions at the lawmaker’s constituency office in Kafanchan, are aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, improving community security and expanding access to renewable energy in Jema’a and Sanga local government areas.
Represented at the event by the caucus leader of the Kaduna state House of Assembly, Hon. Ali Kalat, the lawmaker said the interventions reflected his commitment to responsive representation and people-centred development.
He said the programme was another demonstration that governance should be measured by the positive impact it makes on the lives of the people rather than by policies and pronouncements alone.
He said the distribution of fertilisers was designed to ease the burden of rising farm input costs on farmers and enhance food production across the constituency.
On the installation of 900 solar-powered lights, Amos stated that the project would illuminate churches, mosques and strategic public spaces, making communities safer while encouraging social and economic activities after dark.
He added that the initiative also underscored his commitment to sustainable development through the use of renewable energy.
On the donation of 40 motorcycles to security agencies, the lawmaker stated that it would improve their mobility, strengthen surveillance and enhance rapid response to security challenges across the constituency.
