How I Met My Wife in a Club — Vector Speaks on Marriage

Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector Tha Viper, has revealed that he met his wife, Yinka Coker, at a nightclub.

The award-winning artiste shared the story during a recent episode of the MENtality podcast, co-hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Banky W.

Rapper challenges popular stereotypes

Speaking during the conversation, Vector said his experience taught him not to judge people based on where they are met.

According to the rapper, many people often advise against looking for a life partner in places like clubs, but his own relationship proves that such assumptions are not always true.

He described his wife as “super homely,” despite meeting her in a nightclub.

Music sparked their first connection

Vector recalled that his initial attraction to Yinka Coker came after hearing her rap lyrics by American hip-hop legend Heavy D.

He explained that the moment caught his attention and eventually led to a relationship.

The rapper also advised people to carefully consider relationship advice, noting that while trusted counsel can be helpful, personal judgment remains important when choosing a life partner.

Married life

Vector and Yinka Coker got married in a civil ceremony in December 2022.

The couple have since welcomed a daughter and have largely kept their family life away from the public spotlight.
