The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe state, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the lives of young people through bold investments in youth empowerment, with a strong focus on the creative economy, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and job creation.

Describing the youth as the greatest asset of any society, Gwamna said his administration would pursue deliberate, inclusive and sustainable policies aimed at unlocking the immense potential of Gombe State’s young population.
“Our youths are the backbone of Gombe State. Investing in their education, health, skills and economic empowerment is not optional. A prosperous Gombe can only be built by empowering our young people to realise their full potential.”
He stressed that “my administration will In Shaa Allah ensure youth development programmes are inclusive, accessible and impactful, creating opportunities for both young men and women in every part of the state.”
According to him, special attention would be given to expanding opportunities in the creative industry, digital technology, innovation, agriculture, education, vocational training and small business development, equipping young people with the skills and resources required to compete successfully in today’s economy.
Dr Gwamna commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for laying a solid foundation through various youth development and empowerment initiatives, assuring that his administration would consolidate on those achievements while introducing new programmes designed to expand opportunities and improve outcomes for young people.
“We will build on the remarkable foundation laid by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and take youth empowerment to a new level. Our goal is to create an environment where every young person has the opportunity to learn, innovate, work, build successful businesses and contribute meaningfully to the development of our state.”
The APC candidate further pledged to prioritise job creation by fostering an investment-friendly environment that attracts businesses, supports entrepreneurship and stimulates economic growth, thereby creating sustainable employment opportunities for thousands of young people.
He reiterated that empowering the youth would remain a central pillar of his administration’s development agenda, expressing confidence that with the right policies and strategic investments, Gombe State would emerge as a leading hub for innovation, enterprise and shared prosperity.
