Former Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenoir, has been appointed as manager of French club, Paris FC, following the departure of former head coach, Antoinr Kombouare.
Paris informed that Rosenoir signed a deal of two-year long with the side and an option for a further season, to return to management in France after a stint with FC Strasbourg, where he managed before his short spell at Chelsea.
The Gallic club, which finished 11th in the Ligue 1, stated that the English tactician was appointed for the role due to his wealth of experience at the highest, and his ability to nurture young talent, as well as his commitment to attacking and attractive football, adding that this would help the club in its targets for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
”Liam Rosenoir brings together all the qualities we were looking for,” the club’s Sporting Director, Marco Neppe, said after the announcement on Tuesday.
”He is a modern, demanding coach and recognised for his ability to help both the players and the team progress. Beyond his tactical skills, we were particularly attracted by his management qualities and his ability to unite a group around a clear vision,” Neppe further said.
”It’s a fantastic project. I couldn’t say no. I’m so happy that it’s been agreed, I can’t wait to get started on the job and hopefully I can pay back the faith they’ve put in me bringing real success to this club,” he said while hanging around with Paris FC management in the club stadium.
The 41-year-old appointee lasted just four months with Chelsea, and was sacked in April, having replaced Enzo Maresca. After an encouraging start, things went south as he lost each of his final five Premier League matches in charge, the side failing to score a goal in the run.
However, he had a stellar performance with Srasbourg, finishing seventh in the 2024/25 season and qualifying the team for the UEFA Conference League with the youngest squad in the whole European top five leagues.
