“There is no 300 Billion Dollar payment to Iran by the U.S. That’s Fake News!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
He added that the United States had instead benefited from “lower oil prices” and what he described as “success” and “victory”, pointing to stock market performance as evidence.
“All there is for the US is Success, Lower Oil Prices, and Victory,” he said.
Trump also criticised political opponents, alleging that “Democrat propaganda” was behind the claims.

The comments came amid contrasting claims surrounding the US-Iran understanding, with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei saying he had authorised the memorandum of understanding signed between the Iranian and US presidents despite holding reservations.
In a written message to the Iranian public, Khamenei said he gave approval after receiving assurances from President Masoud Pezeshkian and other senior officials that Iran’s rights and interests, as well as those of the “Resistance Front,” would be safeguarded, reports Reuters.
He said Pezeshkian, in his capacity as head of the Supreme National Security Council, had taken responsibility for ensuring the agreement protected Iran’s interests and pledged not to yield if Washington made what he described as excessive demands.
