OBINNA Igboebisi, who contested the May 29, NDC primary election for Idemili North Constituency, Anambra assembly, said that he was optimistic that the NDC national assembly/election panel would affirm his victory in that election.

The London-based industrialist, who divides his time between Nigeria and London, told journalists in Obosi that the video footages of the election would convince the NDC leadership/election panel that he won the election.

“I am the darling of NDC members in Idemili North; I am their favourite politician.

“And they expressed their love for me on the day of the primary election by standing behind me.

“The spectacle which is captured on video is an irrefutable proof that I am their chosen candidate,” Igboebisi said.

Also, he thanked his NDC supporters, who braved the odds and came out en masse to vote for him.

“I remain appreciative and thankful to you for coming out to vote for me in spite of all odds.

“It is your expressions of love for me. And your kind gestures are not lost on me,” Igboebisi quipped.

The NDC primary election for Idemili North Constituency, Anambra state assembly took place on May 29, 2026 at Ogidi civic centre, Anambra state.

The election pitted Hon. Igboebisi against his town’s man, Hon. Emma Nwobosi, who is one of the sons of the Biafra war hero, Col. Emma. Nwobosi snr.

The winner of the Idemili North Constituency, Anambra state assembly election, which was imperfect, as no human systems of doing things are perfect, will be determined by NDC election panel/leadership in the coming days.
