There has been another attack in Oyo State as gunmen kidnapped the wife of the younger brother of the former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress 2027 gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Bayo Adelabu and her twin children in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
The incident comes barely 20 days after the high-profile kidnapping of 47 students and teachers in Ahoro Esiele, located in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The latest victim was reportedly taking her children to school when the gunmen waylaid her at gunpoint.
She was forced to abandon her Kia Sonata vehicle before the kidnappers whisked her and the children away in their own vehicle.
According to an eyewitness, sporadic gunshots were fired by the criminals to scare residents and passers-by away from the scene.
