“If only my two legs were complete” – Jigan makes bold claim after Portable, Carter Efe boxing match

Nollywood actor Jigan Baba Oja has sparked reactions online after declaring himself the originator of entertainment boxing in Nigeria, following the recent boxing match involving singer Portable and content creator Carter Efe.

Taking to his Instagram page, the actor said he had earlier promoted the idea of entertainment boxing, but was unable to turn it into a profitable venture due to his disability.

Reacting to Portable’s loss in the bout, he wrote:

“I promoted the entertainment boxing, but my disability prevented me from using it to make money. Mummy David, koni da fun yin on this side!

Cos if I were to have two complete legs with my boxing experience! I go kpai Portable, and Carter Efe join. I am the originator of entertainment boxing in Nigeria; know this and know peace. Story for another day.”

In a reflection post, the actor had once spoken about his early life, revealing that he once believed a nurse was responsible for his condition but later came to terms with it, and how it ultimately shaped his life journey.

Jigan added that despite his challenges, he remains committed to using his platform to support persons living with disabilities and ensuring they feel seen and encouraged.

In past, he also spoke about his experiences abroad, noting that disabled people are often treated with more care and inclusion in countries like the United States compared to Nigeria.
