President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja on May 2, 2026, for a three-nation trip starting with France. The visit is part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s ties with global partners.
After France, Tinubu will head to Nairobi to attend the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11–12. The summit, co-hosted by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues like clean energy, climate action, digital growth, and economic development.
The event will bring together African and French leaders to discuss ways to grow economies, create jobs, and build stronger partnerships.
Final Stop in Rwanda for CEO Forum
Tinubu’s last stop will be Kigali, where he will attend the Africa CEO Forum from May 14–15. The forum, organised with support from the International Finance Corporation, will gather over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers.
Discussions will centre on boosting Africa’s economy through investment, regional trade, and private sector growth.
At both events, Tinubu is expected to speak on his government’s economic reforms and efforts to make Nigeria more attractive to investors. He will also meet with business leaders and top officials to explore new opportunities for the country.
He will travel with some ministers and aides and is expected back in Nigeria after the Rwanda visit.
