NO fewer than eight vessels have arrived at the Lekki, Tincan Island and Apapa ports in Lagos, awaiting berthing to discharge petroleum products, bulk fertiliser, general cargo, petrol and diesel.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its “Shipping Position” publication, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.
The document showed that 34 vessels laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa, Lekki and Tincan Island ports between June 13 and June 23.
It added that the expected cargoes include buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, bulk wheat, petrol, condensate, aviation fuel, diesel, general cargo and other commodities.
NAN reports that 20 other vessels are currently discharging various consignments at the ports, including containers, petrol, aviation fuel, crude oil, diesel, bulk sugar, ethanol, bulk wheat, bulk urea, general cargo and fresh fish. (NAN).
