The Nyesom Wike-supported faction of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) has urged members to ignore a current assembly between the Taminu Turaki-led PDP faction and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The assembly was described as unauthorised.
Jungudo Mohammed, the celebration’s nationwide publicity secretary stated in a press release on Wednesday that the assembly was not authorised by the PDP.
He pressured that the celebration has not held any formal or casual engagements with the ADC or its representatives
Mohammed added that those that participated within the assembly acted of their private capacities and can’t be thought-about representing the PDP.
He urged members and the general public to disregard the claims, calling them baseless and never reflective of the celebration’s place.
He additionally stated preparations for the PDP’s primaries have been progressing properly, noting that timelines and pointers could be communicated in the end.
“The celebration stays targeted on its inside processes and its dedication to credible management for Nigerians”.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Turaki-led faction visited the David Mark-led ADC, saying the engagement was a solidarity go to forward of the 2027 elections.
