Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, has announced the death of her father, Leonard Chukwuka.
Chioma announced her father’s passing in an instagram post, describing her father as her comfort and expressed delight for the privilege for him to see his children and grandchildren before his demise.
The thespian, who has lost her mother 13 years ago, said she now has neither parent which breaks her heart in a way she cannot explain, describing the loss as painful.
“I am so thankful you lived a long life, and I am grateful to God you saw your children and grandchildren. We had hoped you would meet your great-grandchildren too, mana nya diba!” the Nollywood legend said.
Chioma shared how losing a parent can be, however, she was grateful for the moment she shared with her father.
“No matter how many years we are given with a parent, we still want one more conversation, one more embrace, one more day,” she wrote.
She said she was grateful for the moments she shared with her father, especially towards the end of his life and also stated that she has held the news private while trying to understand her grief before announcing her father’s death to the public.
In addition, she added that particulars of her fathers’s funeral will be announced to the public when the family is ready and also applaud the public to keep her and the entire Chukwuka family in their prayers.
