“She should keep enduring it” — Woman dies after enduring repeated beatings from partner

A man has shared a disturbing account of a woman who lost her life after enduring repeated domestic violence in a relationship she had rekindled with her former partner.

According to his narration, the woman had initially been dating an Igbo man while staying with her sister. However, her sister opposed the relationship and insisted that she should not marry or continue seeing an Igbo man.

The disagreement reportedly became so serious that the sister sent her out of the house and informed other family members about the relationship.

Woman returned to ex after leaving sister’s house

The man claimed that the woman later moved to her mother’s house, where she reconnected with an ex-boyfriend following a previous breakup.

He alleged that the man was involved in internet fraud and was financially buoyant at the time. The relationship resumed, and the woman later became pregnant and gave birth.

According to the account, the first year of the relationship was relatively comfortable before things allegedly changed drastically.

The man claimed that she began suffering regular physical abuse, alleging that her partner sometimes woke her from sleep before beating her.

Mother advised her to endure

The woman reportedly complained to her mother about the abuse but was advised to continue enduring the relationship.

The narrator claimed that she eventually lost her life during one of the violent encounters and was later discovered to have been pregnant again at the time.

He added that the man involved is currently in police custody, while the deceased woman’s mother has reportedly been left devastated by the incident.
