A Nigerian lady’s post detailing why she stopped attending church has got netizens talking.
In a widely circulated X post, the lady disclosed that she was transferred to Uyo an assignment and attended a church near her residence.
Lady Reveals Reason She Stopped Attending Church
Identified as @maxnonso on X (formerly Twitter), she consistently paid her tithe for seven months before circumstances led her to halt payments for nearly two months.
However, she intended to make the tithe payment, but her monthly pay was delayed.
Pastor’s Comment Led To Her Decision
Meanwhile, her decision not to attend church was prompted by her pastor’s comment which noted, “You’re eating God’s money. If you continue like this, you’ll never move forward”.
As a result, she quit attending the church. Despite the pastor’s constant calls, she stuck to her decision and donated her offerings to an orphanage home.
”He kept calling, but I never went back. I started sending my tithe to an orphanage instead”, She added.
