Veekee James: ‘You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet’ Amid Marriage Criticism

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has defended her decision to frequently attend public events with her husband, Femi Atere, after a social media user questioned why he is often seen by her side.

The entrepreneur addressed the criticism in a video shared on her social media platforms, responding to a troll who claimed her husband did not have “a life of his own” because he regularly accompanies her to events.

Reacting to the comment, Veekee James said marriage is about sharing life together, stressing that she and her husband have chosen to support each other in every aspect of their lives.

“Yes, my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life, the same way I don’t have a life of my own.

“My life is his life. He is me and I am him. Together we are like padlock and key,” she said.

The fashion designer argued that critics of their relationship misunderstood the meaning of marriage.

“When you marry your own, separate him. When you marry your own, remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else.

“You don’t know what marriage is. His life is mine, my life is his. Everything he is, is mine,” she added.

According to Veekee James, marriage involves building a life together rather than living independently of one another.

She also made it clear that public criticism would not influence their decision to continue attending events as a couple.

“You’ve not seen anything. You will see me and my husband anywhere possible, everywhere possible, you will see us,” she said.

The video ended with the designer jokingly referring to her husband as her “personal handbag” while sharing clips of the two together.

Her response has generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users praising the couple’s closeness, while others continued to debate their frequent public appearances.
