Popular content creator Peller has expressed deep disappointment after discovering that a large portion of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his recent wedding ceremony in Lagos were counterfeit.
The social media personality said what was supposed to be one of the happiest moments of his life has now turned into a painful experience after a visit to the bank exposed the fake currency.
According to Peller, he had gone to the bank to deposit the cash gifts he received at the wedding when bank officials informed him that many of the dollar bills were not genuine.
The revelation, he said, left him heartbroken, as the fake notes amounted to nearly $30,000.
Lamenting the incident, Peller disclosed that he knows the individuals who sprayed the counterfeit dollars on him but has chosen not to reveal their identities for now.
Sharing his frustration, he said: “I went to the bank yesterday to deposit my money. After the naira deposition, they told me most of the dollar currency I brought was fake. That’s almost $30,000 cash. I know the people that spent me the fake dollars, but I won’t mention them now.”
His emotional disclosure has sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing sympathy while urging him to expose those responsible.
