The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened its portal for candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results online, eliminating the need for physical visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the process.
The new arrangement allows candidates to verify their results directly with examination bodies such as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and obtain a verification code for uploading the authenticated results to their JAMB profiles.
Speaking on the development on Monday, JAMB’s Ag. Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, said the initiative was part of the Board’s renewed commitment to making its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates.
He said the technology-driven process was designed to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual procedures, while placing candidates’ convenience at the centre of the Board’s service delivery.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can initiate the O’Level result verification process from their homes, after which JAMB will verify the submitted details directly with the relevant examination body before the result is uploaded to the candidate’s profile.
The system is also expected to address challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent certificates, as well as errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
