The long-running family dispute surrounding Nigerian music duo P-Square has taken another turn after Henry Okoye, elder brother of Peter and Paul Okoye, made fresh allegations against their sibling, Jude Okoye.
Henry, speaking during an interview on Friday night, accused Jude of being responsible for worsening divisions within the family and claimed that their late mother had previously warned against allowing Jude to manage the music group.
He also rejected claims that Jude was responsible for building P-Square, arguing that the family had supported Peter and Paul from the early stages of their music career, before Jude became involved in their management.
According to Henry, the twins initially struggled to secure sponsorship after beginning their music journey, prompting members of the family to provide financial and logistical support.
“When they started this music, they were looking for sponsors. They didn’t get a sponsor. When I started sponsoring them, Jude was not there,” he said.
Henry recalled travelling with the twins to different states for performances and helping with various aspects of their early career.

“We would travel from state to state for music. They used my car for flyers. I did bodyguard with them. We were supporting them as a family, but we knew it was Peter and Paul that owned it,” he added.
Mother allegedly opposed Jude’s management role
Henry said Jude became involved later, after Peter and Paul had begun attracting greater attention in the Nigerian music industry.
“Before you could know it, Jude came in. We wanted to allow Jude to manage them, but my mum disagreed. She said she knew the kind of character Jude had,” Henry alleged.
He claimed that the relationship between the twins and other members of the family subsequently became strained after Jude assumed a management role.
“What happened at last is that they started running away from everybody. We never knew that it was Jude that was causing the problem,” he said.
Henry further alleged that he had been promised 20 per cent of the duo’s earnings from each performance in recognition of his early financial and logistical support.
“Before they started all these things going on, they promised me 20% in each show, but nobody has given me,” he claimed.
‘Jude has scattered our entire family’
The dispute, according to Henry, eventually extended beyond the music group and affected relationships among members of the Okoye family.
“Jude has scattered our entire family. He made the entire family and siblings become enemies,” he alleged.
Henry also disclosed that he and Jude have had little or no communication for nearly two years.
“Almost a year to two years, I’m not talking to Jude. He doesn’t talk to me,” he claimed.
The latest allegations add to the prolonged public dispute surrounding the Okoye family and the once-successful P-Square music partnership.
Peter and Paul, who achieved widespread success as P-Square before their highly publicised disagreements and subsequent separation, have continued to pursue solo careers.
Henry’s latest comments, however, centre on the wider family relationship and Jude’s alleged role in the divisions, claims that have not been independently verified and to which Jude’s response was not immediately available.
