NDLEA Smashes Drug Dens in Abeokuta Raids

The Ogun State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismantled multiple drug black spots across Abeokuta in a coordinated crackdown on illicit drug activities.

In a statement issued on Monday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Haris Musa, the agency confirmed that the operation – codenamed ‘Operation Restore Order’ – is a nationwide exercise launched by NDLEA Chairman, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Marwa (Rtd).

Musa disclosed that operatives conducted targeted raids on several identified drug hotspots in the state capital, including Mayas, Miami in Panseke, Onion Market in Eleweran, MKO Stadium, Kuto Park, and WAPCO in Lafenwa.

“The coordinated operations are aimed at reclaiming public spaces being used for drug trafficking and abuse,” he said.

The NDLEA spokesperson reaffirmed the command’s unwavering commitment to its statutory mandate of protecting communities and denying illicit drug networks a foothold across Ogun State.
