A Nigerian pastor has lamented what he described as a lack of appreciation from members of his church, particularly when compared with the support they show popular pastors online.

In a video shared online, the pastor expressed disappointment that some of his church members allegedly do not celebrate him or acknowledge his birthday on social media despite his support for them during difficult periods.

He also criticised members for frequently sharing the birthday messages and prayer-session links of prominent pastors such as Pastor Jerry Eze, claiming that some members turn to such pastors after receiving prayers from him and later use their financial blessings to pay tithes to them.

The pastor questioned why members would allegedly overlook the person who had supported and prayed for them while publicly celebrating more prominent ministers.

His words …

“It’s very painful that my own church members don’t even celebrate me or my birthday online, despite the fact that I have always been there for them during their trying times. But whenever Pastor Jerry Eze or any other famous pastor is celebrating their birthday or holding prayer sessions, all my members will be busy sharing their prayer links. After we pray for you and you see the results, you will now use the money to pay tithes to them, forgetting the person who prayed for you.”
