Former onlyfan model bags 6yrs for killing Nigerian boyfriend

Instagram and OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in 2022.

Clenney, 30, had been facing a second-degree murder charge over the fatal stabbing of Obumseli, 27, at their luxury apartment in Miami, United States.

During a court hearing yesterday, prosecutors and Clenney’s attorneys announced a plea agreement under which she pleaded guilty to manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson sentenced Clenney to six years behind bars, with time already served, followed by five years of probation.

Clenney has spent about four years in custody while awaiting trial, meaning the time she has already served will count towards the sentence.

Following the sentencing, Obumseli’s mother addressed the Miami-Dade Criminal Court, saying her family had continued to struggle with the loss of her son more than four years after his death.

“There is simply too much pain to put on paper,” she said, adding that she did not want Obumseli to be remembered only for the circumstances surrounding his death.

“Christian was my son. Everyone who knew Christian can attest that he was kind-hearted, compassionate, friendly and respectful,” she said.

She added that while the sentence marked the end of the legal proceedings, it would not end the family’s grief.

“No sentence, no plea can bring back my son to me,” she said.

The case attracted widespread attention after body-camera footage showed Clenney covered in blood shortly after Obumseli was stabbed.

Clenney admitted stabbing Obumseli but maintained that she did not intend to kill him, claiming she acted in self-defence after fearing for her life.
