Fenerbahce have emerged as surprise contenders for the signing of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, with the Turkish giants reportedly prepared to make a major financial commitment to secure his services this summer.
The England international is weighing up his future after returning from a successful loan spell at Barcelona, where he impressed despite the Spanish champions opting against making the move permanent.
Rashford is now attracting interest from several clubs, with Fenerbahce identifying him as one of their leading attacking targets ahead of the new season.
Rashford among Fenerbahce’s top targets
According to reports, the Istanbul club have already contacted Rashford’s representatives as they step up plans to strengthen their squad under new head coach Ismail Kartal.
The 28-year-old is said to feature on a three-man shortlist that also includes AC Milan winger Rafael Leão and Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr.
Fenerbahce have reportedly opened discussions over Leão but are yet to reach an agreement, while initial contact has also been made with Sarr’s representatives.
Rashford is not expected to rush a decision following England’s third-place finish at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the forward taking time to assess his options before choosing his next destination.
Turkish club plan ambitious recruitment
Fenerbahce are looking to build a squad capable of challenging reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray and are prepared to invest heavily in experienced attacking talent.
The club view Rashford as a marquee signing who could significantly strengthen their frontline after his productive spell in Spain.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick recently admitted he would miss the England forward following the end of his loan, but the Catalan club ultimately decided against pursuing a permanent transfer.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace winger Ismaïla Sarr remains another attractive option for Fenerbahce after an outstanding campaign in which he scored 21 goals, helped Palace lift the UEFA Europa Conference League and netted four times for Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
