Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan, has announced plans to marry his partner, Davita Lamai.
The announcement was made in a video shared on social media as the couple travelled with friends and colleagues to the wedding of businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon.
Teni announces couple’s wedding plans
During the trip, singer Teni excitedly revealed that Zlatan and Davita would soon be tying the knot.
“So Zlatan and his wonderful wife are going to be having their wedding,” she said.
Davita invites friends
Davita also addressed those on board, inviting them to attend the upcoming ceremony.
“I just want to extend an invite to everyone. I’d love to have you all there. It will be so nice to have everyone there,” she said.
Although the couple did not reveal the date or venue of the wedding, the announcement was met with applause and congratulatory messages from those present.
Previous marriage rumours
The announcement comes months after speculation that Zlatan and Davita had secretly tied the knot.
At the time, the singer dismissed the reports, clarifying that Davita was the mother of his child.
Despite his denial, rumours persisted after the couple appeared in family photos wearing matching rings, while fans also noticed that Davita updated her Instagram profile to include the surname Omoniyi.
The latest announcement has since sparked excitement online, with fans and well-wishers congratulating the couple ahead of their wedding.
