The Traditional Religion Worshippers Association, Osun state, Wednesday, stated that a person who is large hearted to accommodate insults and embarrassments would emerge governor of the state.
Revealing the outcome of Ifa divination on the August 15 governorship election to journalists in Osogbo, the president of the association, Dr. Oluseyi Atanda, said Ifa revealed that the election will not spill blood out of proportion, even despite the concerns about the current spate of violence.
He said the Odu-Ifa is Idinyeku, chapter 63 of Ifa corpus, which also advised that prayer and supplications should be made to Olodumare over the recent incursion of terrorist into South west Nigeria, saying “it is with the help of Olodumare that Osun will not be invaded by bandits or terrorists.”
He said Ifa chastises royal fathers that are openly supporting one candidate over another, adding that: “Ifa says royal fathers should play their fatherly role to all. This is the only way they can be respected by whoever wins and will be relevant in giving advice to government
“Regarding the incursion, Ifa says our Kabiesis should also come together and invoke the ancestors of the land to counter the invaders and protect Osun state.
“Ifa warns all governorship candidates against making this election a do- or- die affair. This act may set Osun state ablaze. It enjoins all citizens of all faiths to pray that such politicians should mellow down as it is only God that appoints.
“We should all play our roles as citizens for the collective security of all. We need prayers, but prayers alone are not enough. We must remain united despite our faiths and ethnic diversity to be able to win this battle. Also, for the successful conduct of elections and to have a God chosen governor is not by prayers alone, but by coming out to vote,” Atanda added.
