The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Osun state chapter has declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
The Islamic group said the endorsement is based on Oyebamiji’s verifiable Islamic standing, his virtues and his track record as a “true Muslim” and a bonafide member of the society.
Speaking at a special meeting and prayer held in Oyebamiji’s honour, Alhaji Akande Hafiz, state secretary of ADS, described Oyebamiji as one of their own from the Ansar-Ud-Deen, Ikire branch.
He portrayed Oyebamiji as a “complete gentleman” and highlighted his past roles and achievements, including as former MD/CEO of OSICOL, and former Osun state Commissioner for Finance and MD/CEO of NIWA.
ADS also said the society is non-partisan, but will not abandon its own members who seek governance.
ADS said authority is a “sacred trust from Allah” and called on members to support Oyebamiji with prayers for wisdom, protection, and success.
The national president of ADS, Prince Musedik Adeniji, SAN (represented by the National Vice President Justice Moshood Adekunle Adeigbe (rtd.) also prayed for Oyebamiji’s victory.
In his remarks, Oyebamiji urged eligible voters to vote for him and warned them not to compromise their choices. “Don’t sell your Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) for whatever worth or reason.”
He also appealed to religious leaders to continue praying for a peaceful electoral process ahead of the 15 August 2026 governorship election, saying the election should be placed in God’s hands.
