The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo state, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Monday, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to tackling security challenges in Nigeria.
Senator Alli stated this during his visit to the rescued teachers and students of Oriire schools at the Nigeria Army medical facility in Ibadan.
The APC governorship candidate pointed out that the abduction of the rescued teachers and students was a painful reminder of the security challenges confronting Nigeria as a country.
Senator Alli said the rescue of the abducted teachers and students 56 days after they were abducted by gunmen was a clear signal that President Tinubu is committed to tackling insecurity in the country.
Senator Alli assured the rescued teachers and students of his support towards their recovery and reintegration into normal life.
“I will do everything within my capacity to ensure that they receive the necessary support and succour to aid their recovery and reintegration into normal life”, he said.
Condoling with the bereaved families of the gallant officers who lost their lives during the operation, Senator Alli noted that,” The nation owes these fallen heroes and innocent victims an everlasting debt of gratitude”.
“May Almighty God forgive their shortcomings and grant them eternal rest.May the Almighty God comfort their families with the fortitude to bear these irreparable losses,”
Speaking further, Senator Alli hailed the gallantry, professionalism and sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies who participated in the rescue operation.
