One year in office: Plateau gov salutes APC national chairman

Plateau state Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on his first anniversary in office, describing him as an exceptional leader whose leadership has strengthened the ruling party and promoted unity across its ranks.

In a statement issued Saturday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Dr Gyang Bere, Mutfwang joined family members, political associates and supporters in celebrating the APC national chairman’s one year in office.

The governor described Yilwatda as “an exceptional leader, an accomplished scholar, and a committed party stalwart,” noting that his visionary leadership had continued to consolidate the APC’s position as Nigeria’s ruling party.

He commended the party chairman for providing purposeful direction and fostering unity within the APC, saying his leadership had translated into notable electoral successes, including recent by-election victories.

Mutfwang also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the confidence reposed in Yilwatda and for the unwavering support extended to him since he assumed office.

According to the governor, Plateau state has continued to benefit from the federal government’s developmental interventions through strategic collaboration, expressing confidence that the partnership would be further strengthened for the advancement of the state, the APC and the country.

He further praised Yilwatda’s contributions to national development, citing his intellectual depth, policy engagements and commitment to democratic governance as qualities that have distinguished his leadership.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the peace-loving people of Plateau state, I congratulate Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on this significant milestone and pray that Almighty God grants him continued good health, divine wisdom, renewed strength and greater accomplishments as he leads the All Progressives Congress to greater heights,” the governor stated.
