Effective immediately, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has ended its partnership with Online Integrated Solutions (OIS) for U.S. visa processing.
According to a public notice released on Thursday by NIS Public Relations Officer DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, OIS is formally disengaged, and all applicants must now submit visa requests directly to Nigerian diplomatic missions in the United States.
“OIS Services… has officially been disengaged from the collection and submission of visa applications on behalf of the Nigerian Mission, effective immediately.”
With the change taking effect right away, Nigerians in the United States seeking visas to Nigeria are now required to submit their applications directly at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, D.C., or at the Nigerian Consulates in New York and Atlanta.
The diplomatic missions have assured that arrangements are in place to handle processing without disruption.
The Immigration Service advised applicants to keep track of official updates.
“Applicants are further advised to monitor the official communication channels of the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigerian Mission in the United States for updates on visa application procedures.
“It is important to note that this directive concerns Nigerians applying for entry visas into Nigeria while in the United States, rather than Nigerians seeking American visas,” it stated.909999⁹
