Dutch footballer, Nathaniel Ake, has departed Premier League club, Manchester City, to move to Fenerbahce ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Ake left Manchester City after a six-year spell to transit to the Turkish based club in a deal around £10 million including an undisclosed add-ons after joining the Etihad outfit from Bournemouth in 2020.
”Our club has reached an Agreement with Netherland national team player, Nathan Ake, and has signed a contract with the player,” a statement by Fernerbache on Friday to confirm the deal reads.
”Our player, who featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will join our team in the Austrian camp after his leave period.”
The 31-year-old defender started his football career at his country’s ADO team, and later moved to Feyenoord and then to Chelsea in the youth system. He rise to the first team at Chelsea in 2013, was later sent on loan at Reading, Watford, and Bournemouth. Nathan Ake, whose transfer fee was bought by Bournemouth for 22 million Euros in 2017, transferred to Manchester City where he won four Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup, as well as five English domestic cups.
