Kidnapped Oyo Schoolchildren, Teachers Rescued – Presidency

The Presidency has declared that school children and teachers in the suspected bandits infested Oriire Local Government Area in Oyo State were rescued.

President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development in a statement.

The security agencies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) coordinated their efforts in a bid to free the victims from their bondage, the statement said.

The Presidency did not immediately provide details of the rescue operation, but it has attributed the successful securing of the release of the abducted pupils and teachers to security personnel.
