A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced three men to life imprisonment after they pleaded guilty to concealing information about the masterminds of the Oriire kidnapping, a crime linked to the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
The trio was sentenced after pleading guilty to the charges filed against them by the Federal Government during the court proceedings.
All three defendants, who were arraigned before Justice Salem Ibrahim of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, pleaded guilty to being members of Darul Salam, an affiliate of the proscribed terrorist group Ansaru.
