How 3 ladies sold 4-year-old baby for N2m in Anambra – Police 


Anambra state police command, Sunday, announced the arrest of three female suspects for allegedly involving themselves in selling a 4-year-old child for N2, 000,000 and another 2-week-old baby for an undisclosed amount.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, who stated this named the suspects as Ms Florence Nnakuzie, aged 45, Hannah Ugah, 52 years and Chinasa Daniel, 27 years.

He said Sunday that  the suspects who were arrested on 11th of July 2026 at a motor park in Onitsha by Police Operatives attached to Awada Divisional Headquarters, reportedly committed the crime between June and December, 2025.

He revealed that Chinasa Daniel allegedly brought two children comprising a two-week-old baby and a four-year-old child on two separate occasions and handed them over to Hannah Ugah.

“A four-year-old child was subsequently handed over to Florence Nnakuzie and allegedly sold for the sum of Two million naira (₦2,000,000), while the two-week-old baby was allegedly sold to another woman who is currently at large,” he added.
