Farmers, women, and the sick in Burdugau and adjoining communities in Malumfashi local government area of Katsina state Monday praised philanthropist Muhammad Rabi’u Hashim for a major outreach that delivered fertiliser, cash grants and food support to vulnerable households.
In a statement, residents described the intervention as timely, saying it will ease pressure on rural livelihoods amid rising costs of farm inputs and household goods.

The fertilizer was distributed free of charge ahead of the current cropping season to help boost yields and strengthen food security.
Speaking during the distribution, Hashim said the support was not for sale.
“This gesture is free. It is aimed at assisting peasant farmers to improve their agribusiness and ensure better harvests this season,” he said.
As part of the outreach, the philanthropist also presented N200, 000 in cash assistance to married women in the community to support household needs.
To address health related challenges, he further donated 7 bags of rice to the sick persons in Burdugau town and neighbouring areas.
