National President of the Fruits of The Renewed Hope Initiative (FORH), Barrister Medinat Anako, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the sustained war against banditry and insurgency by criminal elements in the country.
In a statement issued in Abuja at the end of the group’s National Executive Committee meeting, Anako praised the efforts of Mr. President and the security forces in securing the release of the Oyo school children in Orire and their teachers from abductors’ captivity.
Similarly, she commended the All Progressives Congress-led, President Tinubu’s administration for the successful rescue of other victims of abduction in Maiduguri and other parts of the country, and the gradual restoration of peace in the affected areas.
She urged the government to sustain the tempo of the fight against all criminal elements in the country to enable Nigerians to live in peace and enjoy the dividends of democracy being provided through the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President.
Anako specifically highlighted President Tinubu’s transformative policies in the area of massive road infrastructure across the country, which included; the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway rehabilitation, Ilorin-Ogbomoso Highway, Abuja-Kaduna and Kaduna-Kano Highways, Lagos-Benin Highway, Abuja-Nasarawa-Benue Highway, among others.
Stressing that Nigeria is a work in progress, she expressed confidence that President Tinubu is determined to improve the quality of lives for millions of Nigerians through the ongoing reforms in all sectors of the economy.
As a non-governmental organisation, she said that the Fruits of The Renewed Hope Initiative is a platform set up to partner with the government in the area of promoting an enduring democratic culture and good governance through highlighting government achievements and sustained advocacy for citizens’ engagement in governance in a democratic system.
“Our role as a non-governmental NGO is to serve as a link between the government and the people by stimulating citizens’ participation in governance through public enlightenment and sensitisation on government policies for the promotion of inclusivity,” she said.
