Gombe APC Governorship Candidate Gwamna Pledges Massive Investment in Youth Empowerment
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering young people through strategic investments in the creative economy, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and job creation if elected governor.
Gwamna described the youth as the state’s greatest asset, saying his administration would implement deliberate, inclusive and sustainable policies aimed at unlocking their potential and positioning them as key drivers of Gombe State’s economic transformation.
“Our youths are the backbone of Gombe State. Investing in their education, health, skills and economic empowerment is not optional. A prosperous Gombe can only be built by empowering our young people to realise their full potential,” he said.
He pledged that youth development programmes under his administration would be inclusive, accessible and impactful, creating opportunities for young men and women across all parts of the state.
According to the APC candidate, priority would be given to expanding opportunities in the creative industry, digital technology, innovation, agriculture, education, vocational training and small business development to equip young people with the skills and resources needed to compete in a rapidly evolving economy.
Gwamna also promised to foster an investment-friendly environment that would attract businesses, stimulate entrepreneurship and create sustainable employment opportunities for thousands of youths across the state.
He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for laying a solid foundation through various youth-focused programmes and assured that his administration would consolidate on those achievements while introducing new initiatives to broaden opportunities for young people.
“We will build on the remarkable foundation laid by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and take youth empowerment to a new level. Our goal is to create an environment where every young person has the opportunity to learn, innovate, work, build successful businesses and contribute meaningfully to the development of our state,” he stated.
The APC flagbearer stressed that youth empowerment would remain a central pillar of his development agenda, expressing confidence that with the right policies and strategic investments, Gombe State would emerge as a leading hub for innovation, enterprise and shared prosperity.
