Galatasaray defender Przemysław Frankowski has described Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as one of the five best strikers in world football, praising the Nigerian’s professionalism, work ethic and relentless desire to score.
Frankowski made the remarks while reflecting on his time alongside Osimhen at the Turkish champions, where the pair were teammates before the Polish international secured a loan move to French club Rennes.
According to Frankowski, Osimhen’s commitment on and off the pitch sets him apart from many of the game’s leading forwards.
“Victor Osimhen is a world-class striker, possibly among the top five forwards globally. His preparation for matches and his determination to score goals are truly admirable,” Frankowski said in an interview with Onet, as cited by Fanatik.
Osimhen initially joined Galatasaray on loan before completing a permanent move last summer. Since arriving at the Istanbul club, he has established himself as one of the team’s most influential players.
The Nigerian international has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions, playing a key role in Galatasaray’s domestic success and their European campaigns under head coach Okan Buruk.
Frankowski knows Osimhen well from their time together at Rams Park. The Polish full-back joined Galatasaray on loan from French side Lens during the second half of the 2024/25 season before making the transfer permanent for a reported €7 million ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
He has since moved to Ligue 1 club Rennes on a one-year loan deal that includes a conditional obligation to buy.
With the 2026/27 season approaching, Osimhen will be looking to build on his impressive scoring record as Galatasaray target more domestic silverware and a stronger run in European competitions.
