The Founder and General Overseer of the All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM), Rev. Dr. William Uzochukwu Okoye, is dead.
Rev. Okoye, who also served as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Blueprint reports
His death was announced in a statement jointly issued by the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Council of the All Christians Fellowship Mission and the Okoye family.
The church leadership described the late cleric’s passing as a “glorious home call,” saying he devoted his life to the service of God and humanity.
According to the statement, Rev. Okoye died peacefully on Wednesday.
The statement read in part: “The Board of Trustees, the National Executive Council of All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM), and the Okoye Family, with unwavering faith in the sovereignty of Almighty God, hereby announce the glorious home call of our beloved Founder and General Overseer, Rev. Dr. William Uzochukwu Okoye, who peacefully departed this earthly life today, Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
“The mission has lost its earthly shepherd, but heaven has welcomed a faithful servant who dedicated his entire life to the service of God and humanity.”
Distinguished ministry
Throughout his decades of ministry, Rev. Okoye was widely known for his commitment to Christian evangelism, discipleship and pastoral leadership.
Beyond founding the All Christians Fellowship Mission, he served as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel, ministering during the administrations of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
His ministry was marked by the preaching of the gospel, mentoring of church leaders and promotion of Christian unity across denominational lines.
Church members and associates described him as a humble servant of God whose teachings and leadership inspired countless believers within and outside Nigeria.
Church urges members to remain steadfast
Following the announcement of his passing, the leadership of the All Christians Fellowship Mission called on members of the church and the wider Christian community to remain steadfast in faith despite the loss.
The church urged believers to remain united in love and continue praying, expressing confidence that God would sustain the ministry founded by the late cleric.
“At this solemn moment, we call upon every member of All Christians Fellowship Mission and the entire Body of Christ to remain steadfast in faith, united in love and fervent in prayer.
“We are confident that the God whom His servant faithfully proclaimed throughout his lifetime will continue to uphold and preserve His Church,” the statement added.
Funeral arrangements underway
The church disclosed that consultations had commenced between its leadership and members of the Okoye family to finalise arrangements for the burial and other activities to celebrate the life and ministry of the late founder.
It assured members that details of the funeral programme would be announced through the mission’s official communication channels at the appropriate time.
“The leadership of the Mission is already in consultation with the immediate family regarding arrangements to honour the life and ministry of our departed Founder and General Overseer.
“Further announcements concerning funeral arrangements and burial ceremonies shall be communicated through the official channels of the Mission at the appropriate time,” the statement noted.
Condolences
The leadership of the church expressed appreciation to members, friends and well-wishers for their prayers and messages of support following the death of the cleric.
It prayed for God’s comfort upon the Okoye family, members of the All Christians Fellowship Mission and the entire Christian community as they mourn the loss of one of the country’s respected church leaders.
