The Federal Government has arraigned the President of the Borno State Youths Association (BOSYA), Samaila Kaigama, before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged terrorism-related offences.
Although the charges against Kaigama were not immediately made public, the case is linked to his alleged contacts with Boko Haram terrorists and alleged involvement in ransom payments for kidnapped victims.
Kaigama, who was recently arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), was brought before Justice Salim Ibrahim on Wednesday.
The court ordered that he remain in the custody of the DSS pending the commencement of his trial.
Justice Ibrahim subsequently adjourned the case until September 25, 2026, for the prosecution to begin presenting its case against the youth leader.
