England vs Argentina: Agbonlahor, Bent Tell Tuchel Two Players to Start Against Messi’s Side

Former England internationals Gabby Agbonlahor and Darren Bent have offered their preferred attacking lineup for the Three Lions ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

The pair believe England manager Thomas Tuchel should make changes to his frontline as the team prepares for one of its biggest matches of the tournament.

Agbonlahor backs Rashford to start

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor urged Tuchel to deploy Marcus Rashford on the right wing instead of Noni Madueke.

He argued that Argentina’s full-backs could be vulnerable and believes Rashford’s pace and direct running would create problems for the South American side.

Agbonlahor also suggested introducing Bukayo Saka later in the game if the Arsenal winger is not ready to start.

According to him, Madueke’s recent performances have not been strong enough to guarantee a place in the starting lineup.

Bent also wants Rashford in attack

Darren Bent echoed Agbonlahor’s view by recommending Rashford for the right side of England’s attack.

He also proposed Anthony Gordon as the preferred option on the left wing, saying Tuchel could reshape his attacking unit to give England a better chance against Argentina.

England prepare for crucial semi-final

England will be aiming to secure a place in the World Cup final when they take on Argentina in Wednesday’s semi-final clash.

Tuchel is expected to make his final selection after assessing the fitness and form of his squad ahead of the high-stakes encounter.
