Ademola Abiodun, also known as DJ Chicken, has changed his Instagram profile image to Seyi Tinubu, less than 24 hours after being released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
DJ Chicken was released on Tuesday following an 11-day incarceration for allegedly making threats against Seyi, President Bola Tinubu’s son.
On Wednesday, he changed his profile photo to Seyi’s and published several posts on Instagram stories, including a photo of Seyi with the message, “Hmm dddy,” as well as videos of Seyi dancing at an event with his wife.
The social media activity occurred soon after DJ Chicken publicly praised Seyi Tinubu for his freedom.
Abiodun was charged in a Lagos magistrate’s court on July 10 and remanded to the correctional facility after posting a video on his social media sites.
In the now-deleted video, which has since gone viral, he spoke in Yorùbá about Tinubu’s prospective re-election run in 2027.
Before his release, the content creator’s elder sister asked influencer Tunde Perry and members of the public to intervene on his behalf.
She pleaded with Seyi Tinubu to pardon her brother, claiming they were orphans with no other family to rely on.
“Please, Tunde Perry; I have heard a lot about you. Please help me to support him. Please join me in supporting him. “Don’t let him go to jail,” she had stated.
“I am his elder sister. We are orphans, and we have no one. Please forgive him. “I beg on his behalf.”
