Bailey Zimmerman is stepping away from the road to prioritize his family. The country singer announced that he has canceled his upcoming shows in the United Kingdom and Europe, explaining that an unspecified family matter requires his attention.
Zimmerman reassured fans that “everything is okay” and confirmed that he still intends to fulfill his scheduled North American performances in August. After those shows, however, he plans to take additional time away to focus on himself, his family and new music. The announcement comes weeks after prosecutors dismissed a criminal case stemming from an incident at a New Mexico resort.
Zimmerman personally delivered the disappointing news to fans through a statement posted on Instagram. “To my fans, I wanted to let you all know personally that I unfortunately have to cancel my UK/Europe shows,” the singer began.
Zimmerman acknowledged that fans had been anticipating the overseas concerts for some time, but said his family must currently take precedence over his career. “This was not an easy decision and it kills me to have to cancel because I know how excited everyone is… but right now I need to take this time to focus on important family matters. Everything is okay, it’s just my family needs my attention and that’s what I’ve gotta do,” he wrote.
The singer did not provide additional information about the family situation or identify which relative required his attention.
The Country Singer Will Complete His August Performances
5Although Zimmerman is canceling his U.K. and European dates, he is not immediately withdrawing from every scheduled performance. The singer confirmed that he will move forward with his North American shows in August before beginning a more extended break.
“I will still be playing my shows in North America in August, but after that I will be taking some more time to focus on me, my family, and new music. Once again I’m so sorry to everybody that has waited so long… I hope y’all can understand that my family has to come first,” Zimmerman continued.
He concluded his statement by expressing gratitude to the fans who have continued supporting him through the unexpected changes in his personal and professional life. “Thank you for having my back on this crazy ride we call life,” he wrote, adding a red heart emoji.
Zimmerman did not announce when he expects to resume touring overseas or whether the canceled concerts could eventually be rescheduled.

Announcement Comes Weeks After Hotel Room Case Was Dismissed
5Zimmerman’s decision to step back comes weeks after prosecutors officially dismissed a criminal case connected to an incident at Sandia Resort & Casino in New Mexico. The singer had initially faced one felony count of criminal damage to property exceeding $1,000 and one misdemeanor count of falsely obtaining services. According to the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, both charges were dropped after Zimmerman fully reimbursed the resort for the alleged damage.
An arrest affidavit alleged that the trouble began during a soundcheck in May, when Zimmerman appeared intoxicated and stumbled onto the stage. Investigators claimed he struck a guitar against the ground, threw a microphone, repeatedly walked away from the stage, kicked drum cymbals, shoved a guitarist and spat in the direction of a security officer.
Resort staff ultimately canceled the concert and instructed Zimmerman and members of his team to leave the property.
Authorities Alleged Approximately $16,000 In Damage
5Investigators alleged that Zimmerman later returned to his hotel room, where staff discovered extensive damage. Court documents estimated that approximately $16,000 worth of destruction had occurred inside the room, including broken furniture, damaged electronics, holes in the walls and stained carpeting.
Authorities also alleged that Zimmerman left more than $400 in alcohol charges unpaid. Those claims led prosecutors to file the felony and misdemeanor charges that were later dismissed following restitution.
Once details of the incident became public, Zimmerman issued a lengthy apology and accepted responsibility for his behavior. “I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico in May and the reports that have followed,” he said. “First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired.”

The country star also addressed the concertgoers who arrived expecting to see him perform before the show was canceled. “To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me,” Zimmerman said. “I understand that being a musician comes with big responsibilities, both on and off stage, and I know that I fell short that day. I am reflecting on the disappointment and concern that I caused.”
